The Dean of the Mosque, Sheikh Muhammad Mamoun Al-Qasimi Al-Husseini, welcomed Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Aseoui, President of the Arab Parliament, and Ibrahim Boughali, President of the Algerian National People’s Assembly, to the mosque of Algeria today, Saturday. He gave a brief explanation about the mosque’s history, the facilities that make up the mosque, the buildings and the facilities attached to it.
The Prophet’s Mosque in Medina and the Sacred Mosque in Makkah are the two largest mosques in the world, respectively, and the largest mosques in Africa, respectively. During his inspection of the mosque, the President of the Arab Parliament expressed his deep admiration for what this great religious edifice contains, emphasising that it represents a distinctive Islamic lighthouse and offers excellent services on the levels of religion, culture, society, education, and science.
The President of the Arab Parliament signed the open record of the mosque’s senior visitors before departing, wishing those in charge luck in turning the mosque into a centre of culture and civilisation for Muslims and Arabs worldwide.
