Significant rise in Egypt’s revenues of exports, Suez Canal: Report

As of November 5, 2022, CAIRO A recent analysis from MAAT highlighted the considerable increase in exports that will improve the nation’s income in 2021.
According to the research, Egypt’s exports reached a high point in the first four months of 2021, when non-petroleum exports increased by 11% and imports rose by 5%.

The report also noted that Egypt’s foreign commerce activity prospered during this time, with commodities exports rising by 26% by year’s end.
Egypt’s exports to EU nations increased by 56%, bringing in over $9 billion, up from $5,881 billion in 2020. In contrast, the nation’s exports to the United States rose by 51% in 2021 to $2,446 billion.

The top five exporting industries in 2021, according to the research, included food, chemicals, building products, fertilisers, and chemicals.
Engineering and electrical material exports from Egypt increased by 46% to $3,387 billion in 2021.
The Suez Canal aims to reach $7 billion in income by the end of the current year.
