According to Somali television, military sources in Somalia reported on Thursday that the army had killed scores of young militants in the Hiran region with the assistance of an American airstrike. The first car exploded at the Ministry of Education near a crowded intersection in Mogadishu, then the second car exploded with the arrival of ambulances and the citizens gathered to help the victims.

The attack occurred in the same area as Somalia’s largest bombing in the same month of 2017.
