Tunisian Finance Minister Siham Al -Bogdiri Namasia said that the International Monetary Fund has not imposed any dictates in the economic reform program presented by the Tunisian government to the fund.
In an interview with Tunisian Channel 9, the minister further stated that the reforms supported by the programme are truly Tunisian reforms and denied that the IMF had any requirements.
The minister indicated that negotiations with the fund were difficult and accurate at the same time, due to the Tunisian government’s adherence to its options.
The Tunisian government recently revealed that it has secured a 1. 9 billion dollar loan agreement at the expert level with the IMF.
The IMF has not imposed any requirements on the economic reform plan, according to Tunisia’s finance minister.
