The first national squad of Morocco will play Georgia before the World Cup in Qatar gets underway, the Moroccan Football Association said today, Thursday.
“As part of the preparations for the national team for the 2022 World Cup, the national team is conducting a friendly match against Georgia in the United Arab Emirates,” the Moroccan Federation said in a statement published on its website.
The national squad will subsequently move to Qatar to resume its World Cup finals preparations after the match, which will commence at 8:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, November 17, 2022 (the fifth after the end of Moroccan time).

The Moroccan national team overcame Chile in the first encounter with two goals straight up and drew with Paraguay without scoring in two friendlies last September in advance of the Qatar World Cup, which begins on November 20.
The Moroccan national team was placed in the sixth group, along with Croatia, Belgium, and Canada, for the World Cup “Qatar 2022.”
