The National Postal Authority was quick to participate in this historic event and document it by issuing a memorial post stamps, including four stamps that review the most significant holdings of the King Tutankhamun cemetery, according to Sharif Farouk, Chairman of the National Post Authority, who claimed that King Tutankhamun’s cemetery is the most notable discovery of the 20th century because it contains the most alluring archaeological treasures worldwide.

The Egyptian Post is always keen on issuing memorial stamps in important events and occasions to immortalise these significant events in the history of the country. Dr. Sharif Farouk added that memorial stamps are a means of cultural communication between the various countries of the world and its peoples, as well as a mirror that reflects the nature of the times for future generations and documents the history of nations throughout the ages.

It is important to note that the 100th anniversary stamps group on the discovery of King Tutankhamun’s tomb consist of 4 stamps, each measuring 5 cm by 6 cm, each worth 20 pounds, and equipped with the QR Code technology, allowing stamp enthusiasts and followers to learn everything there is to know about the stamps and the occasion on which they were released.
