The Group of Seven warns Russia against escalation … and “talking about nuclear weapons is unacceptable”

The Group of Seven specifically denounced President Vladimir Putin’s nuclear threats and advised Russia against escalating its conflict with Ukraine.

The foreign ministers of democratic nations cautioned the economically stronger nations to meet them in the German city of Monster today, Friday, in a final document, warning that any use of chemical, biological, or nuclear weapons by Russia would have serious repercussions.
Additionally, the group declared increased support for Ukraine at the same moment.

The group said it will help Ukraine prepare to receive the winter, and to this end the Group has established a coordination mechanism to help Ukraine to repair the vital infrastructure of energy and water, restore its efficiency and defend it.
Putin recently attacked the energy infrastructure in Ukraine in particular, just before the winter season.

Germany will serve as the group’s chairman through the end of this year, along with France, Italy, Japan, Canada, the United States, and Great Britain.
The group condemned the recent Russian escalation in the attacks on civilians and civil infrastructure, such as energy and water supplies, in agreement with what Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Coliba, who joined the consultations on Thursday.

The group said that Russia is trying to intimidate the civilian population and its random attacks on Ukrainian lands constitute war crimes, indicating that “economic sanctions against Russia” and the countries supporting the military war will continue, and that the “regime” in Belarus has to expect “heavy sanctions and costs” if he increases the pace of its intervention directly about his actions prior to this battle.

According to the group meeting’s final report, Russia’s misleading claims that Ukraine is a “dirty bomb” will be countered by taking action against Russian media distortion.
These accusations are untrue, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Russia is cautioned by the Group of Seven not to escalate the situation and that “talking about nuclear weapons is unacceptable.”
