Schultz leaves Germany heading to China for a 11 -hour visit

Olaf Schultz, a German counsellor, departed his home nation on Thursday for an 11-hour visit to Beijing, China.
It should be emphasised that since becoming an advisor, Schultz has only made one formal trip to China.
On Friday, Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet with Chinese Prime Minister Lee Ke Qiang, the first Western government to do so since the Chinese leader was re-elected as the head of the Communist Party.

Notably, the timing of the visit is in question, as both the two defectors and the international gathering of Uighur Muslims demanded that Schultz’s visit be cancelled.
China now is not the same China that it was five or 10 years ago, and it is obvious that if China changes, We must alter the way we deal with it too, Schultz stated in the German daily “Frankfurter Zeitung” shortly before the visit.

Schultz stated that he would not avoid “tough subjects, including respect for the rights of civil and political freedom in addition to the rights of ethnic minorities, for example in the Shinjiang province,” during his discussions with the Chinese government. ”
The Beijing administration rejects the allegations made by the UN Office on Human Rights that the Chinese government has suppressed the majority of Uighurs in the area.

“We, like the United States and many other nations, follow the same China’s policy, which dictates that any alteration of the current state of affairs should only occur peacefully and in harmony with one another.”
Schultz’s visit will be the shortest visit by a German adviser to the largest country in the world in terms of population, and the reason for short visiting the visit is due to strict measures to combat Corona in China.

Around 12 managers, including the executive presidents of the Volkswagen Group, Bassaf, Siemens, and Deutsche Bank, are travelling with Schultz as part of an economic mission.

Schultz departs from Germany and will spend 11 hours in China.
