Respiratory outbreak declared at Picton, Ont. retirement home

Hastings A respiratory outbreak has been reported at the H. J. McFarlane Memorial Home in Picton by Prince Edward Public Health.
The outbreak was declared on Wednesday, and the isolated residents’ symptoms had subsided.
However, the outbreak will continue until Nov. 7 if there are no additional cases.
During the respiratory outbreak, the Prince Edward County government advises against visiting the H. J. McFarland Memorial Home if you have a cold or a fever.

All residents and their loved ones at the long-term care home have been contacted by McFarland Memorial Home to let them know about the outbreak, according to a news release. .
