Reports: Atletico Madrid is planning to replace Simeone

According to news reports, Atletico Madrid does not currently have any plans to extend the contract of its Argentine coach, Diego Simeone. This is especially true in light of the team’s dismal performance this season on both the local and continental levels.
Simeone’s time at Atletico has been his worst since he assumed leadership in 2011 to follow Gregory Manzano.
Simeone will expire in the summer of 2024 and his future is still unclear with the Madrid club.

The local (Cadena Sir) network revealed that there are negotiations to replace Simeone, but the obstacle remains latent in paying the value of the penalty clause in his contract, which amounts to 14 million euros.
She clarified that Marcelino Garethia Torral, in addition to ONai Emery, is a contender to succeed “Chulu” as the team’s captain.

Atletico Madrid said goodbye to the Champions League last after failing to compete in the European League competition for the entirety of his continental career.

According to reports, Atletico Madrid wants to replace Simeone.
