Prior to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosting the Spanish Super Cup in January 2023, Real Madrid Football Club extended an enthusiastic message to the residents of Saudi Arabia’s main city, Riyadh.
The Royal Club wrote on its account on the “Twitter” website: “You will come to you, the people of Riyadh, in the Spanish Super Cup semi -finals.

On January 11, 2023, Real Madrid and Valencia will face off in the Spanish Super Cup semifinals in Riyadh.
In the second match of the Spanish Super Cup semi -finals, Barcelona will meet King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh, with Real Betis.
Real Madrid will compete in the Super Cup this season as the local league’s champion, along with Barcelona and its summer, while Real Betis will do so as the Spanish Cup’s champion, along with Valencia and its summer.
Saudi Arabia hosted the first Spanish Super Cup version after changing its regime to include four clubs in 2020, when Real Madrid was crowned at the expense of its rivals and its neighbor Atletico Madrid by defeating it with a penalty shootout.
