Qld couple in court on murder, torture of 7-month-old son

The case of a man and woman, who are both accused of murder in connection with the passing of their infant son who was seven months old, has been brought up in court for the first time.
After being accused of one count each of murder and torture, Reinhardt Bosch, 33, and Noemi Kondacs, 22, appeared via video connection in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
The co-accused were represented by Mark Platt of Sun and Co Lawyers during their brief mentions, and he stated that Kondacs is looking for different legal counsel.

Only when questioned if they could hear the judge did Bosch and Kondacs respond.
Bosch is also charged with assault causing bodily harm.
Bail requests for murder suspects were postponed to December 5 because the Magistrates Court lacks the authority to hear such requests.
The parents of the infant, according to Queensland Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll, are the two.

Carroll told ABC Radio today, “Getting a brief from my guys, it was just the most terrible and disturbing scene that you could ever see as a police officer.”
Yesterday around 6:45 a.m., ambulance personnel dispatched police to a residence on Mount Samson Rd in Yugar, north of Brisbane, in regard to the unresponsive youngster.
The couple were taken into custody at the scene where the infant was located deceased, police said.

Detective Inspector David Jackman stated yesterday that “the investigations discovered injuries to the infant that are sufficient for us to prosecute with murder.”
According to Jackman, Bosch made the initial call to the paramedics.
Police had no prior knowledge of the pair or the address.
