Giojia Miloni, the prime minister of Italy, emphasised the necessity for the European Union to act swiftly to address the energy problem.
This was revealed in comments made by Meloni today on social media, before she attended discussions with Ursula von der Line, president of the European Commission, and other officials in Brussels for the first time since taking office.
“Today I will be in Brussels to speak with the leaders of European institutions,” Meloni stated.
Italy will have a strong voice in Europe: “We are prepared to address the major challenges, beginning with the energy crisis, and working together for a speedy and practical solution to protect families and businesses.
Meloni will also meet in Brussels with European Council Speaker Charles Michel and European Parliament Speaker Roberta Mitsola on her first trip abroad since she became the first woman to take over the prime minister in Italy..
