The Autism Families Exhibition was held by the Families Association under the “Risha Taif” initiative and under the patronage of the Minister of Culture, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud, according to Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan Al Saud, who is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Families Association. This was the first initiative of its kind in Saudi Arabia.
Prince Saud added in his statements today that he took part in the exhibition of 100 artists with autism who created 100 works of art with the assistance of 100 Saudi painters in five regions of the Kingdom (Riyadh – Eastern – Makkah Al -Mukarramah – Asir – Jazan), and that the “Risper Taif” project’s time frame lasted for a year, beginning in October 2021 and continuing through the project’s five stages to the completion
In the presence of the Deputy Minister of Culture Hamid Fayez and a number of His Highnesses, Excellencies, and Happiness, Prince Saud noted that an auction for charitable purposes was held for these works of art. The proceeds of the auction, totaling 6 million riyals, were used to establish a centre to embrace the talents of autistic people and to achieve sustainability in the services provided to those with autism using a cutting-edge charitable model.
The “Risper Taif” initiative, according to Prince Saud, benefits people with autism, their families, the local community, and those who are interested in autism.
