Instead of Paris Saint-Germain star Killian Mbappe, the Norwegian striker Eryng Halland of Manchester City is now the most expensive player in the world, according to Transfermarkt Gate.
With 170 million euros, Halland, 25, is the most expensive player in the world.
With 160 million euros, Mbappe dropped to second place, while Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior, a third Brazilian, took first place with 120 million euros.
When “Forbes” magazine released their list of the highest-paid soccer players in the world in October, Mbappe replaced Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the top spot, which they had alternated since 2014.
