Germany is considering providing 300 billion euros “to save sports”

According to Thomas Vikrt, head of the German Olympic Sports Federation, due to the energy crisis, sports clubs in Germany are practically out of money.
“Thousands of clubs, particularly those with their own facilities, stated that their presence was often threatened by financial problems due to the hefty payments that were anticipated.

In order to avoid resorting to raising dues to fund hefty expenditures, he continued, sports organisations and clubs must assist the federal and state governments.
He continued: “All members will not be able to withstand such an increase, as they are affected by other high costs in their private lives.

The German Olympic Sports Federation expressed “pleasure” at the prospect of the federal government offering a 300 billion euro rescue package for sports.

In an effort to “rescue sports,” Germany is considering giving 300 billion euros.
