French Brigitte Giro won the Juncourt Literary Award for her novel “Live quickly”

On Thursday, French Brigitte Jiro won the Jonkor Literary Award, for her novel “Vivre Vite”, published by “Flamarion”, in which she regains unexpected events that led to the killing of her husband in a motorcycle accident in 1999.
Jiro is the thirteenth person to win the top French literary award since Goncourt’s founding 120 years ago and the first woman to do so since Laila Soleimani’s triumph in 2016 for her book “Chanson Douce.”

Jiro, a candidate from Lyon, competed in the final round for the award alongside French Chloe Korman, Italian Juliano de Emboli, and Haitian McNzi Orels.
