The Tiktok video platform in China has informed users that some of its employees have access to account information in the UK and the EU.
According to the dominant social media company, “privacy policy” is founded on “a clear requirement to conduct their work.”

According to Tiktok, the European Economic Zone, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are covered by this policy.
Eileen Fox, head of the Europe’s privacy department at the platform, said in a statement that a global team helped maintain the user experience “consistent, fun and safe”.
Our efforts are concentrated on reducing data transfer outside the region, storing European user data locally, and restricting the amount of staff who have access to it, she continued.
