Sun Hyung Min, a South Korean international striker for Tottenham Football Club, will have surgery to repair a fracture around his left eye, which may prevent him from competing in the World Cup in Qatar.
Sun was forced to go out during the first half of the match in which his team beat Marseille 2-1 last Tuesday in the last sixth round of Group D competitions, to ensure Tottenham in the price of the Champions League final.
Sun Hyung Min will have surgery to repair a fracture around his left eye, we can confirm it, Spears said in a statement.
“After surgery, Sun will start the rehabilitation process phase with our medical staff and we will publish the latest developments to the masses in a timely manner,” he added.
Tottenham did not specify a date for the return of the South Korean international, but it faces a race with time to be fit for his country’s opening match in the World Cup against Uruguay on November 24, before facing Son’s teammates and Ghana in the Group Eight competitions.
Due to his accomplishments with the club and the squad, Sun, 30, is the captain of the Korea national team, one of the most well-known players, and a national hero.
Sun earned the exemption from the national service after scoring 35 goals in 106 international games and winning the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games.
