The Russian ambassador to Washington Anatoli Antonov said that the price ceiling mechanism that the West will impose on Russian oil can extend if it succeeds to include other materials and goods of interest to the West, including gas and minerals
The US Treasury effort, which is known as a ceiling for Russian oil, will force the world economy into a hopeless maze, the ambassador further stated in an interview with the National Interest magazine.

The ambassador stressed that Russia will stop the supply of oil to countries, and it will decide to implement a coercive mechanism to artificially control prices.
The recently coined White House phrase, “increased prices because of Putin,” was rejected by the Russian envoy.
Antonov expressed his belief that, the reason for the high fuel prices is the “Crusader campaign” launched by the United States on the Energy Energy, and noted that the situation exacerbated this field due to the ban imposed on the import of Russian energy resources.
The Russian ambassador said that the sanctions imposed by Ukraine are hurting and having an increasingly negative impact on the nations that are subject to them.
These sanctions reduce economic growth to the point that a recession may result, increase inflation, and disrupt supply systems.
He emphasised that more than 2.5 thousand people and legal entities are on the “black lists” related to Russia.
