All parties in Pakistan were advised to avoid using violence and to denounce the murder attempt on the country’s former prime minister Imran Khan by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinkkin.
Violence has no place in politics, and we urge all parties to abstain from using it, as well as intimidation and harassment.
He continued, “We stand by the Pakistani people, and the United States is strongly committed to a democratic and peaceful Pakistan.
Imran Khan, a former prime minister of Pakistan, was hurt in a shooting that happened as his supporters were travelling to Islamabad. He was taking part in a massive march to protest the Pakistani government’s policies, which caused pandemonium among the crowd.
Local sources claim that Khan was hurt only in the Gogran region, despite unsubstantiated reports of his left man’s injuries; however, his condition was deemed to be “safe.”
The “Times of Endia” website stated that the guy responsible for the former Prime Minister’s shooting had been detained prior to the shooting while Imran was participating in a large protest demanding early elections in the nation.
