Washington condemns the launch of North Korea, an ICBM

North Korea violated the resolutions of the UN Security Council by launching an intercontinental ballistic missile, thus the United States has encouraged all nations to put stronger penalties on the country.
Adrian Watson, a spokeswoman for the National Security Council, emphasised that the United States strongly condemned the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea for testing an intercontinental ballistic missile. South Korea had earlier on Thursday announced the launch procedure.

President Joe Biden and his national security staff, she continued, “are working to assess the situation in close consultation with our allies and partners.”
US State Department spokesman Ned Price said that this operation, which followed the firing of a rocket of all kinds, the previous day, represented a “clear violation” of the UN Security Council resolutions prohibiting the launch of the continent -crossing ballistic missiles.

Price continued by saying that North Korea poses a threat “to its neighbours, the region, peace, world security, and the system of stopping the spread of global nuclear weapons” through its launch operations.
The UN Security Council’s decisions about the People’s Democratic Republic of Korea, which seek to prevent them from gaining the methods and supplies required to carry out these destabilising tests, must be completely implemented by all nations, he stated.

Perlis did not name specific nations, but China is North Korea’s main ally and trading partner.
In an effort to persuade the United States to impose additional sanctions on North Korea as a result of a prior wave of missile launches, China and Russia utilised the veto in May.
