The Russian Defense Ministry announced today, Wednesday, that Moscow will resume its participation in the food deal, contradicting earlier statements made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan that an agreement had been reached on the reworking of the grain corridor following talks between Turkish and Russian defence ministers.

The US State Department said it is encouraging to see the grain arrangement resume.
