The start of the Bahrain International Dialogue Forum between East and West

The Bahrain Dialogue Forum: The East and the West for Human Coexistence was officially started in Manama, the capital of Bahrain. His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, will serve as the event’s patron, and His Excellency the Grand Imam Dr.

His Holiness Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church, Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, the chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders, and a number of other icons, figures, and representatives from other religions and civilizations around the world.

The Bahrain Forum for Dialogue is hosted by the Council of Muslim Elders, the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the King Hamad International Center for Peaceful Coexistence. It is part of the Kingdom’s strategic initiative to increase dialogue between the heads of major religions and sects as well as key figures in thought, culture, and the media.
