The greatest honour and recognition medal bestowed upon leaders of Arab nations by the Arab Parliament is the “Medal of the Leader,” which President Abdel Majid Taboun of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria received from Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Aseomi, President of the Arab Parliament.
This took place in front of a number of Algerian Republic leaders as well as Saleh Kojil, Speaker of the Algerian National Assembly, and Ibrahim Boughali, President of the Algerian National People’s Assembly.
The awarding of this medal to President Abdel-Majid Taboun by the Arab Parliament, according to Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Asoumi, was made in recognition of President Taboun’s tangible contributions to the protection of Arab national security and the promotion of Arab unity.
