CAIRO – 2 November 2022:  Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly attended Wednesday the signing of a protocol between the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and eFinance to design and launch a digital platform that is intended to serve industrial investors.
The government will work with other organisations to arrange the cycle of various procedures and to provide all the services required on the platform.

The “Golden License,” a unified operation permission that will be granted to applicants three months from now, was introduced earlier this week by the Egyptian government in an effort to further encourage investment in the manufacturing sector.
Additionally, the government had started a programme called “Start.

Aya Hossam El Din, a member of the “Start” initiative, said in a TV interview on Saturday that 64 industrial projects have been created as part of the initiative, with a focus on the petrochemical, water treatment, and home appliance industries.
Hossam El Din emphasised that it is anticipated that the programme will save $16 billion by replacing goods that were previously imported.

She stated that a lab has been set up to evaluate the products’ quality and make sure they adhere to international standards.
The main features of the initiative are tax exemption for five years, and offering lands for investors in the leasing system..
