On the fringes of the yearly “World Health Summit,” a doctor disclosed that she had been harassed by a World Health Organization employee.
The 26-year-old doctor, Rosie James, reported the harassment she experienced in a tweet on the microblogging website “Twitter,” according to the news site “Russia Today.”
She wrote: “She was sexually attacked by a World Health Organization employee tonight,” adding: “This was not the first time that this thing happened to many of us,” after returning to her hotel room in Berlin following a hectic day of events.
She expressed her sadness and disappointment over what had happened while confirming that she would report this abuse.
The President of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanum Jibrisus, commented on the incident, expressing his concern about this behavior, saying that he was “terrified. ”
The company “can never condone sexual assaults or harassment, and will do everything it can to help,” he emphasised.
