Today, Tuesday, Ukrainian President Foludmir Zellinski reaffirmed that Ukraine will continue to ensure the food security of Southeast Asian nations (ASEAN).
“Hun Sen, the prime minister of Cambodia, called me, and Shukri Kambodia, the head of the ASEAN Association, expressed support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
She added that Kyiv will continue to ensure the nations of East Asia have access to food.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday / last Saturday the suspension of the grain deal indefinitely, and Moscow accused the Ukrainian forces using the humanitarian corridor that was created to export the grains to launch widespread strikes on ships and infrastructure of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian president talked about restoring the damaged Ukrainian energy facilities with his French colleague, Emmanuel Macron.
Zelinski described, in a tweet via (Twitter) carried by the British “Sky News”, the phone call as “constructive and very important”, explaining that it included strengthening the defensive capabilities of Ukraine and restoring the affected energy facilities . . The French President was hailed for his unwavering support.
It is notable that several Ukrainian areas lost access to water and electricity after Russia launched missile strikes on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities’ key infrastructure facilities on Monday.
In a related context, the US State Department announced that the US Secretary of State for European Affairs and Eurasian Karen Dunefred went to Ukraine today to confirm Washington’s support for Kiev in light of the current crisis.
According to the American Foreign Ministry’s official website, Dunefred is travelling to Ukraine for a two-day official visit. The purpose of the trip is to reaffirm America’s unwavering and ongoing support for Ukraine.
According to the US State Department, Dunefred will meet with representatives of the Ukrainian presidential administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other members of the Ukrainian government to discuss the ongoing efforts to support reform and reconstruction efforts in Ukraine as well as to provide security assistance. Ukrainian civil society leaders will also meet to discuss the situation in Ukraine and how to help the people realise their goals.
She mentioned that Dunefred would encounter staff members of the American embassy in Kiev, whose dedication to the country upholds the highest standards in the face of the unusual circumstances that exist right now.
Zellinski: Ukraine will continue to ensure the Assyrian Association’s access to food.
