Toronto Stock Exchange to resume trading after morning halt

A technical issue that prevented trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange Tuesday shortly after the opening bell is anticipated to be resolved.
Just after 10 a.m. in Toronto, the exchange’s operator, the TMX Group, announced that trading had ceased on the TSX, TSXV, and Alpha markets.
According to TMX, it was having trouble connecting to the TSX order entry symbol range M to S at the moment.

The market was in a pre-open status and would stay there until 11:10 a.m., when trading would commence, according to a message left upon dialling the number provided on the TMX Group website.
In February 2020, TMX experienced an outage as a result of a system capacity issue that occurred during busy trade during the early stages of the pandemic.
A hardware malfunction was to blame for another outage that occurred in 2018.

After a morning halt, trading will resume on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
