Despite the fact that her killer was never apprehended, the FBI and the American judicial system were successful in identifying a woman who was murdered on a beach on the east coast of the country in 1974.
This woman – who was known in the media as “the lady of sand dunes” – is called Ruth Mary Terry, from Tennessee and reached 37 years when she died, according to what the American police announced during a press conference in the state of Massachusetts.

Despite conducting surveys in nearby communities, looking through “thousands” of missing person files, using “facial reconstructing” techniques, composite photos, and many body exhumations, the authorities were unable to identify the victim.
