A notable audience and visitor turnout were present for the Egyptian General Book Authority’s new session, which concluded today’s activities at the Belgrade International Book Fair. The pavilion also witnessed a number of meetings in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Bahi El -Din Al -Assassi, the head of the commission, with some of the Serbian publishing houses that translated some of the authority’s publications into the Serbian language.

The authority advertised its publications that it offers to translate into other languages, and this fit into the scope of the authority’s programme for translating Egyptian ideas and creativity into other languages.
Many Serbian authors and artists who valued Egyptian culture were also encountered; they emphasised the value of Egyptian participation in the Belgrade International Book Fair as well as their wish for the continuation of cultural exchange.

The Egyptian ambassador to Serbia, Ambassador Salah, his deputy, Ambassador Ibrahim Hamza, and the Assistant Minister of Culture were all visited by the commission’s pavilion, and the most recent books published by the participating Book Authority—whether they were published in Arabic, another language, or Serbian—were examined.

The Book Authority wing at the Belgrade exhibition was complimented by the Assistant Minister of Culture and Ambassador Bassem Salah for representing Egypt and having excellent success there on all levels.
