With the exception of the schools on Daraa Al-Balad and Al-Sadd Road, the Directorate of Education in the Daraa Governorate acknowledged the closure or interruption of schools in the city of Daraa as a result of the security operation against ISIS elements in the two areas.
The exclusion of schools from Daraa Al-Balad and Al-Sadd Road was due to the roaming ban that was announced two days ago in connection with the ongoing security operation against ISIS members in the aforementioned al-Hayyin, according to Russia today. This was explained by the Directorate of Education in Daraa Governorate.
In the Al-Sadr neighbourhood, south of the city of Daraa, terrorist organisation “ISIS” cells were the target of a limited security operation, according to Syrian security sources. They noted that many members of the organisation were killed during the operation, and that a significant amount of ammunition was seized.
The effort is being carried out in a coordinated manner and in collaboration with the populace with the intention of eradicating ISIS presence and reestablishing the stability of the camps, the dams, and Daraa al-Balad.
Syrian authorities: Due to the security operation, there is no decision to close schools in Daraa.
