Supply: Signing a cooperation protocol with project development to support gold workshops workshops

To support the workshops and small gold manufacturers, the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade and the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority inked a cooperation protocol.

The Projects Development Authority and the Ministry of Supply signed a cooperation protocol to look after the owners of workshops and small industrial projects, particularly the gold workshops, according to Nevin Jameh, head of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority and the former Minister of Industry.

It was made clear that the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade had developed a funding scheme in collaboration with workshops working in the golden artefacts sector that were restricted from supporting and financing these workshops, particularly in the aesthetic area.

She explained that the implementation of the program is scheduled to start with 25 workshops with a maximum of financing one million pounds, according to the rate of capital rotation, a period of allowing for payment 3 months, and the duration of the loan payment of up to 24 months.
She emphasised the importance of these workshops for generating cash in order to create stability and development, stating that if the experiment was a success, the project will be spread to other governorates.

Nevin, the mosque of the gold workshops, requested that the project visit the Projects Development Authority office in Cairo to apply for a finance programme, provided that we are the workshop limited to the Department of Stamping and Budgets.

The goal of signing the protocol, according to Ali Al-Muselhi, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, was to develop and modernise these workshops and advance the gold industry. He added that the ministry had assembled a team to monitor the project and select and rehabilitate the workshops through the Stamp and Balances Authority.
