In retaliation for North Korea’s “provocation,” which it described as the missile launches by Pyongyang earlier today, the South Korean army declared that its combat aircraft had launched three atmosphere-to-surface missiles in the high waters north of the Northern Line.
It is noteworthy that the South Korean army said today, Wednesday, that Pyongyang launched about 10 missiles of various types, including at least three balls, towards the Sea of Japan, also known as the Sea of the East.
According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, one missile was launched toward the island of Olongo in eastern South Korea before it was shattered in international waters in the Sea of Japan, according to the South Korean Yonhap News Agency.
