Russia: Ukraine gave us an opportunity … and the grain agreement has become impossible

The Russian Duma Council recognised that his nation provided Ukraine with a chance through the agreement despite the barrage of accusations levelled by many Western nations over the previous two days following its suspension of the work of the Exporting Cereal Convention from Ukraine. Today, Tuesday, Russia confirmed its willingness to assist the “needy countries.”

Viacislav Vulodin, the president of the Russian Duma, adding that Russia gave the Ukrainian side the chance to export the grains that were intended to go to the poorest nations in Africa and Asia, but only 3-4% did, with the majority of the grain going to the wealthy nations in the European Union.

He was also considered in a post with his official channel on the Telegram application, that the actions of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zellinski exceeded all the agreements reached with the participation of Turkey and the United Nations, indicating the terrorist nature of the Kyiv regime, as he put it.
He emphasised that it is now difficult to resume the grain trade, particularly in light of the fact that the security passage was used to launch terrorist attacks, as he described it.

He also recognised that it is unacceptable for Ukrainian terrorist assaults on Russian Black Sea naval ships to be launched from the safe passage.
After confirming that his nation was prepared to send 500,000 tonnes of grains, Mikhail Olianov, Russia’s permanent ambassador in Vienna, announced these developments.
Additionally, he emphasised in a tweet on his Twitter account that these grain quantities would be given away to developing nations in need.

Since the beginning of the Russian military operation on Ukrainian territory on February 24, the West has criticised Moscow for suspending this agreement, accusing it of having a problem with food security globally, particularly for African countries and other developing countries, who have been severely impacted in terms of importing grains, especially wheat, and its high prices globally.

It is notable that Russia decided to halt the initiative after announcing on Sunday that the misfortunes that assaulted its ship last Saturday had been discovered in Sevastopolbab on the island of Crimea, stressing that they had used the safe path designated for exporting wheat. It’s possible that one of these revelations was launched from a civil ship that was chartered as part of the Black Sea effort.

On Monday, this charge was brought up once more before the Security Council.
While stating that the grain export corridor posed a “threat to the security of the city’s ships,” Russian President Vladimir Putin Kyiv urged for the protection of ships that pass through it.

Although Moscow warned of the “risk” of continuing to implement the deal without its participation, ship movement was resumed in the Black Sea yesterday with the assistance of the United Nations and Turkey.

It is noteworthy that the initiative to export grains from Ukraine across the Black Sea, which was controlled by Russian ships, was completed in July under the sponsorship of the international and Turkish, which alleviates worries about food security, particularly in some developing countries that heavily rely on grain imports.

Russia: The grain accord has become untenable since Ukraine gave us a chance.
