Russia calls for a international vote on the use of biological weapons in Ukraine

The Council members received a 310-page dossier last week from Russia that announced this biological action in Ukraine with assistance from the US Department of Defense.
According to Article Six of the 1972 biological weapons agreement, the paper included a formal protest to the Security Council and a draught resolution empowering the Security Council to appoint a committee made up of the Council’s fifteen members to look into the claims of Russia.

Soon after the commencement of the private military campaign in Ukraine, independent scientists, Ukrainian authorities, White House officials, and the Pentagon questioned Russian information.
An investigation conducted by “Associated Press” in March has found that these claims were raised on the Internet, and received the viewers of the Kofid-19 plot, followers of the American “Qyun” movement and some supporters of former US President Donald Trump.

A network of biological research facilities already exists in Ukraine with funding and assistance from the US.
Additionally, it is a component of the “Biological Threats Program” project, which attempts to lessen the likelihood of the spread of dangerous diseases, whether they are caused by humans or the environment.
When the Russian draught resolution was put to the Security Council’s vote late on Wednesday afternoon, diplomats indicated it was doubtful that it would be adopted.

With no veto from one of the five permanent members—the United States, Britain, France, Russia, and China—approval requires at least nine yes votes.

Russia requests a global referendum on Ukraine’s use of biological weapons.
