Germany intends to release financial support for the protection of rain forests in Amazon

After former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva’s triumph, which put Brazil back in charge under the leadership of that country, the German government promises to offer financial support for the protection of Amazon rainforests.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Development, Yoshn Vlasber, said today, Tuesday, that the resources of the “Amazon Fund” for climate protection and rainforests are currently frozen, but it is expected to re -make it again urgently.

In the same context, Norway also intends to resume cooperation in the field of rainforest protection, as the government in Oslo intends to contact the transitional team of the Alla, according to the Minister of Climate and Environment Spain Bart Eddy to the Norwegian News Agency “NTB”.
Eddie mentioned that a significant sum of money was frozen in one of the accounts, but that it could be rapidly freed.

Disagreements over how to spend money led to the suspension of the “Amazon Fund” under the administration of Jayyar Bolsonaro, the unsuccessful candidate for Brazilian President in the most recent elections. Bolsonaro initially viewed the Amazon region, which is crucial to the global climate, as an economic zone.

By opposing efforts to safeguard rainforests and pushing for increased land usage for mining, agriculture, and power production, Bolsonaro was seen as meddling in domestic matters.
It is notable that Germany and Norway are providing funding for the initiative. The proceeds from the fund are used to fight against the clearing of forests in the Brazilian Amazon region and to safeguard its natural resources.

The Brazilian government established the fund in 2008, and the Brazilian Development Bank (“BNDES”) is in charge of managing it, according to the German Society for International Cooperation (“GIZ”).

Germany plans to provide financial assistance for the preservation of Amazonian rain forests.
