Al -Ahly Jeddah .. The historical champion is absent from the King’s Cup

Al-Ahly Jeddah, the team that has missed the King’s Cup the most in history, was excluded from the King’s Cup draw on Tuesday because it was only open to Roshen Professional League clubs after moving to the Yalou League for first-class clubs at the end of the previous season.
Al-Ahly Jeddah currently holds the record for most King’s Cup victories with 13, the first coming in 1962 and the most recent in 2017.

Al-Ahly Jeddah and Al-Ittihad, two of its longtime rivals, played 18 final matches for the King’s Cup, with Al-Hilal, who finished third, receiving one more victory.
Al-Ahly Jeddah took part in the previous edition but was eliminated after falling to Al-Shabab 2-1 in the quarterfinals.
