A “violent attack” undertaken by Russian soldiers in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk was defeated by Ukrainian forces, according to Ukrainian President Folodimir Zellinski.
Without mentioning the site of the fight, he said that a military unit from the western Ukrainian city of Chop carried out the operation.
“Today, they put an end to the enemy’s ferocious assault operations. The Russian attack was repelled,” Zellinski said in his evening speech.
The “exchange fund,” which refers to the seizure of Russian servicemen, was filled, the Ukrainian president stated. My town, together with Bakhtout and Evidivka, was the focal point of the heaviest battles in Donetsk.
Prior to this, Russia claimed that the Crimean offensive exploited the “safe area” intended for grain exports, while Ukraine said that the Russian siege renders grain exports “impossible.”
Moscow said that the Crimean attack’s carriers might be launched from a “civil ship,” emphasising that “Canadian-made navigation devices” would be used in carrying out the attacks.
The drone debris that was used to assault the Black Sea Fleet on Saturday in the Crimea has been retrieved and analysed, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
A brutal Russian bombardment on the Donetsk region gives Ukraine further proof that it is engaged in combat.
