The Chinese “Huawei” may come out completely from the Russian market

Hani Badreddine, according to a report in the Russian newspaper “Izsetia” on Monday, the Chinese firm “Huawei” has halted the direct delivery of its smartphones to Russia and may leave the market entirely. However, it plans to turn to another company to take over the distribution of its products to the Russian market.

According to a source in a company that works with Huawei, when the Chinese company exits the Russian market, this will not mean an end to the entry of its products into Russia. Instead, distributors will import Huawei products and purchase them from brokers in China rather than directly from the company.

The insider added that Huawei is presently in discussions about offering smartphones and other products on the Russian market via middlemen.

“The supplies are directly very complicated under the current circumstances,” said Eddar Mamzin, an analyst at the “Mobile Research Group,” according to the newspaper. “The Chinese company Xiaomi was the first to arrange the introduction of its products to Russia through a Chinese partner, and it started this several years ago. In such a case, the Chinese company delivers its products to the partner, who handles the products to Russia and bears all risks, while the Russian company bears no such risks,” he added.
