Police continue search for child near Woodstock, Ontario. conservation area

Police in Woodstock, Ontario said their investigation is ongoing after searching Pittock Conservation Area for a reported youngster who was heard pleading for assistance.
Police were contacted by someone who was in the Conservation Day Use Area on Sunday around 9:50 a.m. The caller claimed to have heard a little child’s cries for aid coming from the wooded area to the east of that spot.

Emergency teams, including the K-9 unit, the criminal investigations branch, the auxiliary unit, water rescue, and the OPP aviation unit, conducted a thorough search but were unable to find anyone who needed help there.
There have been no reports of missing children as of yet, according to the police.
The inquiry is still open.
