Oregon man facing federal charges in alleged abduction, abuse of 13-year-old Edmonton girl

On Monday, an indictment charging 41-year-old Noah Madrano from Gladstone, Oregon with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a Canadian youngster he reportedly met online was unsealed in a U.S. federal court.
The U.S. Department of Justice provided more information in a news release regarding the alleged plan to abduct, extort, and abuse a 13-year-old Edmonton girl.
On Sept.

20, a federal grand jury in Portland returned an indictment charging Madrano with travelling in interstate or foreign commerce with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct, sexually exploiting a child, transporting a child interstate with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, and possessing child pornography.
A criminal offence is accused in an indictment, but there is no evidence to support the charges.

A judge in the state of Oregon ordered Madrano to reveal the passcode to his cellphone last week.
In accordance with court records and proceedings, Madrano allegedly met a young child online and sexually abused him for more than a year.
He is charged with flying to Canada to personally meet the girl, take her to a hotel room, and then reportedly sexually abusing her while filming the incident. Afterward, he went back to the United States, according to court records.

Attorney’s Office claims that after leaving Canada, Madrano subsequently returned, kidnapped the child from in front of her school, and transported her to a different hotel room.
According to the news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Madrano forced the youngster to colour her hair and wear a hooded sweatshirt at the hotel to hide her appearance.
“Madrano mistreated the kid for a few days. After briefly returning to the U. S. , Madrano again returned to Canada, picked up the child and drove her back to the U. S.

in the vehicle’s trunk. The news release claims that Madrano took the youngster to a hotel room in Oregon where he proceeded to abuse her.
On July 2, early in the morning, FBI and Oregon City Police personnel entered Madrano’s hotel room, where they allegedly discovered him with the child.
He was detained and charged with both state and federal offences. The child was taken into protective custody and returned to her parents in Canada.
Madrano made his first appearance in U. S.

Monday in a federal court. He was charged and entered a not guilty plea. The first day of a five-day jury trial is set for December 13. The detention hearing is scheduled for November 2, and Madrano is still being held.
“If convicted, Madrano faces a maximum sentence of life in federal prison with a 15-year mandatory minimum,” the U. S. Attorney’s Office news release states..
