Germany opens the hydrogen diplomacy office in Kazakhstan to support renewable energy

Germany aims to open the hydrogen diplomacy office in the Kazakh capital of Astana to help the development of a sustainable energy system, German Foreign Minister Analina Barbook said on Monday.

According to the minister who is currently in the country, who was quoted by the Kazakh Kazakh News Agency, the hydrogen diplomacy office is intended to serve as a hub for the exchange of experts and government representatives, and it is anticipated that green hydrogen will help both nations reach net zero emissions while preserving luxury and development for the benefit of their respective populations.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported that on October 27, a German company and the Kazakh government signed an investment agreement to build one of the largest green hydrogen factories in the world in order to ensure energy security and reserve stock in Europe and Asia in the industrial domains. Kazakhstan had supported the initiative to establish a hydrogen diplomacy office in the Kazakh capital.

In a related context, Mukhtar Tiloberdi, the deputy prime minister of Kazakhstan, stated that his nation offers German businessmen acceptable working conditions and that it is a desirable place to invest after his meeting with the German Minister.

He emphasised that German investments, advanced technologies, technical know-how, raw materials in Kazakhstan, skilled workforce, and favourable conditions for the practise of business lay solid foundations to expand The fruitful cooperation between the two sides while pointing out that Germany, the fourth largest economy in the world, is not among the top ten investors in the Kazakhstani economy.
