CAIRO – 30 October 2022: On the occasion of Noura al-current Kaabi’s visit to Egypt, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Fustat welcomed the Emirati Minister of Culture and Youth as part of a series of official visits.
Emirati Minister Noura al-Kaabi began her visit by being given a tour of the restoration facilities. Director of the Restoration Center Mohamed Abdel Shafi described the labs’ most crucial duties, from receiving the artefacts to carrying out the required restoration steps for each piece.
Fatima Bakkar, director of the Archaeological Documentation Department, toured the Royal Mummies Hall, the Central Exhibition Hall, and the Egyptian Textile Hall with the minister and her delegation.
Kaabi expressed her delight at the tour and her excitement with the special archaeological artefacts held by the museum that highlight the magnificence of ancient Egyptian civilisation. She also praised the contemporary techniques used in the museum’s display setup.
Kaabi emphasised the desire of the Emiratis for increased collaboration with Egypt in the foreseeable future.
National Museum of Egyptian Civilization is visited by the Emirati Ministry of Culture and Youth.
