Following the counting of a third of the votes in the run-off for the presidential election that took place on Sunday, Brazilian President Jayer Bolsonaro persisted in supporting his adversary, former President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva.
According to the British newspaper Guardian, after 30 % of the votes of voters through electronic voting, President Bolsonaro continued to advance with 51 % of the votes compared to 49 % for the left candidate Lula Da Silva.
During the first round of voting on October 2, Lula Da Silva received 48% of the vote over Polsonaro’s 43%. The latter’s result came much higher than what opinion polls expected, which gave him some momentum during the election campaign before the run -off..
