Moscow has said that it would no longer take part in the transfer of Ukrainian grains as a result of the recent terrorist attack that Kiev attempted to carry out on Russian ships and civilian ships in the Black Sea.
The Russian Ministry of Defense made the decision to halt its involvement in the grain trade across the Black Sea after the Russian fleet thwarted a terrorist attack on Saturday that the Kyiv authorities attempted to carry out with drones.
The ministry stated in a statement that due to the Kyiv regime’s establishment of, with the involvement of British experts, a terrorist act against the Black Sea Fleet ships and civil ships participating in maintaining the security of the grain corridor on Saturday, the Russian side decided to suspend its participation in the implementation of the agricultural products export agreements from the Ukrainian ports.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that British experts had a direct hand in the execution of the attack, which Russia accused Britain of taking part in.
For its part, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Russia’s suspension of its participation in the transfer of Ukrainian grains from today for an indefinite period is due to the failure to guarantee the safety of ships.
Vasily Nippinsia, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, responded by declaring that the attack on Sevastopol, which is located in the Russian Crimea and has a view of the Black Sea, was carried out using the safe humanitarian corridor for the transfer of food from Ukraine.
The first representative of the Russian delegate to the United Nations, Dmitry Pollesky, called for a security session on October 31, against the backdrop of this attack, which was targeting the ships participating in securing the “food deal”.
In the same vein, Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to Washington, declared that Moscow has terminated its involvement in the food agreement due to the careless actions of the Ukrainian government.
“Washington’s reaction to the terrorist attack on the port of Sevastopol really is a catastrophe,” read a statement released yesterday, Saturday.
Earlier, the Russian Minister of Agriculture, Dmitry Patroshev, announced that his country is ready to provide poor countries with up to 500,000 tons of grains for free during the next four months.
Moscow also denounced the activities of Western nations, and the Russian Foreign Ministry claimed that by blocking the export of agricultural products and Russian fertilisers to international markets, the United States and Europe are harming the nations of Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
