Two explosions in the Somali capital and the fall of dozens of civilian victims

On Saturday, two car bombs exploded in the Somali capital close to government buildings, resulting in “dozens of civilian casualties,” according to the police and the media.
The national police spokesman Sadiq Dodha provided the Somali News Agency with the death toll.
The attack in Mogadishu occurred on the same day that the president, prime minister, and other top officials gathered to discuss battling violent extremism.

An Associated Press reporter saw numerous bodies and reported that they appeared to be citizens utilising public transportation. The second explosion, the reporter added, happened in front of a popular restaurant.
The director of Amen ambulance service informed the Socials that there were numerous injured and dead present.
According to the Somali Journalists Syndicate, two journalists were hurt and one died.
No one has yet taken ownership of the attack.

The attack took place at the Zoubi crossroads, which was also the scene of a massive explosion in 2017 that claimed more than 500 lives.
