The northern and two delayed gas pipelines were the target of a terrorist action in the Baltic Sea on September 26 that was planned and carried out, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Defense released a statement.
The “Northern Seal” and “Northern Celle-2” gas transport pipes were the target of sabotage on September 26. The pipelines were detonated and taken out of service.
The “Northern Seal” pipelines cross the economic waters of Denmark, Finland, and Sweden as they go from Russia to Germany via the Baltic Sea’s bottom.
The breakdowns happened close to Bornholm, a Danish island.
