The Russian presidential secretary, Dmitry Peskov, refrained from commenting on reports that Russia and Turkey are negotiating with the status of the grain deal, saying that this is the jurisdiction of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
In response to a TASS inquiry for comment on these stories, he responded, “It is best to ask the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Last Saturday, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that following the terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime, which “involved specialists from the United Kingdom against the Russian fleet in the Black Sea and civilian ships working to ensure the security of the grain corridor, the Russian side suspends its participation in the implementation of the agreements for exporting food from Ukrainian ports.”
In the meantime, Russia’s agriculture minister, Dmitry Patroshev, declared that his country is prepared to give the world’s poorest nations a free grain supply of up to 500,000 tonnes over the next four months.
No comments are made about the grain purchase by the Kremlin spokesman.
