The decrease in the price of the dollar in Lebanon today, Saturday, October 29

During today’s trade on Saturday, October 29, 2022, in Lebanon, in the parallel, unofficial, black parallel market, the value of the dollar declined.
A dollar currently costs between 36,800 and 36,900 pounds in Lebanon during trade on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the informal (black) parallel market, down from between 37,400 and 37,500 pounds per dollar at the close of business on Friday.

On Friday, the black market in Lebanon reached a price of 36,900 pounds per dollar, while the sale price hit 37,100 pounds per dollar.
On Friday, the value of the US dollar in the cash registers was 26 thousand, 500 pounds for purchases and 26 thousand, 100 pounds for sales.
A banking platform was used to settle the exchange rate of the dollar for 30 thousand and 100 Lebanese pounds against the Turkish lira.

Lebanese pounds can now be withdrawn from dollar deposits at a new rate of 8,000 pounds to the dollar, according to the Central Bank of Lebanon.

The price of the green currency significantly dropped as a result of two urgent generalisations that the Central Bank of Lebanon issued, the first to holders of the lira from individuals and institutions who wanted to convert it to the dollar and the second to banks. It went from being worth 37 thousand pounds to less than 30 thousand pounds Lebanese.

Today, Saturday, October 29, the dollar’s value fell in Lebanon.
